Leaving at 10.30 for the funeral of a good friend at St. Marylebone Crematorium. East Finchley.

22.49    B&B El Modesto, Annexe, Berkhamsted.

A moving humanitarian service for Nick Purbeck, a lovely man & a demon croquet player. The tribute to him by his Wife Judy was deeply moving. Following the packed service, we visited a family home nearby in Highgrove to celebrate Nick’s life.

Leaving Highgrove for Berkhamsted c. 16.00. B&B El Modesto itself is full, so I have been allocated a modest accommodation in the owner’s family home 200 yards down the road. Checking-in, if that is an appropriate term for being assigned modest lodging, and to Studio Jakko for 18.00.

Jakko told me that El Modesto B&B, in an earlier incarnation, was a brothel staffed by she-workers from Eastern Europe. The former owner was arrested, paving the way for El Modesto to return to the white economy.

Returning to an evening computing. E-flurrying drawing to an end.
